Witness, 1994

Shown at Pendulum, an artists space in Sydney, this work continued with the idea of 'soft' architecture, with an overblown representation of floral wallpaper in calico and wadding. The decorative quilted rose motifs were coloured using lipstick. The rose motifs decreased in size as they ascended the wall, giving a distorted sense of perspective, which was intended have an effect on the viewers sense of their body's scale in relation to the work.
