Learning to Draw from Books, 2015

Materials: photographic prints of book covers, drawings and library shelving

For this site-specific installation in a vitrine in the Fisher Library, University of Sydney, pencil drawings of book cover illustrations of 18th and 19th century novels written by women were reproduced and montaged onto photographs of the book illustrations. A tromp l'oeil illusion of receding space was created with a photograph of the library shelving. The exhibition was curated by the artist Michael Goldberg.
